Sort out some head restraints

Notes

Half done, but I'm no longer sure about the design.

24/4/02

Sort out some weather gear

This item appeared a while ago. The tonneaux are now fitted, but I'm still thinking about a hood.

Musing

Hammerite front suspension bits

From experience with the Westfield it's a good idea to try and stop some of the bits of the front suspension rusting before they start.

Finding the time

25/5/02

Fit the bootbox carpet

This is getting ridiculous.

In desperation I've fitted (well, it's not stuck down) the black stuff that I've got. I suspect I'll leave it there.

13/10/02

Think about some bigger brakes

13/10/02

Make pedals work properly

Clutch slave cylinder modified to allow clutch pedal to be moved further away.

Changed the size of the throttle pedal which makes things much better. Still more work needed though.

13/10/02

Look into a quicker rack

13/10/02

Sort the instruments out

16/2/03

Fix the seat backs in position properly.

They keep moving about. There's some chunky velcro to fix them with but it needs attaching properly.

2/3/03

Fit an oil catch tank

I'd like to do this as I don't like running the oil breather into the air filter, it would be necessary for some circuit running too.

Done:

25/4/02

Revisit the fit of the expansion tank

I'm still not happy with the expansion tank. Perhaps what I need is to find a different tank...

Thinking

13/10/02

Sort out the oil system

This is going to be expensive. The various options are documented elsewhere.

Pricing it up

13/10/02

Tighten up the gear knob

13/10/02

Look into gearbox oil leak

Fixed leak in the unused mechanical speedo connection.

13/10/02

Line wheel arches with bungy rubber stuff

I've re-fitted the rear arches so the tyre clearance is better.

Finally, this one is done!

13/10/02

Fit nut covers to sidescreens

There are some exposed nuts on the outside of the sidescreens. I've got some nut covers for them but need to get around to trimming the bolts and actually fitting the covers.

Rather than fitting nut covers, I've ground the nuts smooth(er)

16/2/03

Make the choke work properly

It just needs the cable sorting out properly.

16/2/03

Stop the exhausts rattling

This needs a self-tapper, right through the side of the exhaust and going into the tube in the middle, so as to stop it rattling about.
